Welcome to the Shores Boers Website. We are a small farm located in Lattimore, NC which is about 45 miles west of Charlotte, NC. At Shores Boers, we have been raising goats for four years. We recently decided to concentrate on quality rather than quantity. This has been done by buying two bucks and some does with great bloodlines. We don't have a lot of time to show, but we want to produce show quality animals.

Our bucks are "Ruger A77" and "Tonto." For those who are in the goat business, Ruger A77 will need no introduction with his bloodline. His sire is Ennobled "Ruger T307." Ruger T307 sold for $42,000. He has over 200 progeny registered with ABGA, with over 40 showing and earning points, earning him over 1400 points. Needless to say, Ruger A77 will be the foundation for our farm.

“Tonto’s” sire is Ennobled “Pal Box Car Willie” and his Grand Sire is Ennobled “Pal Cloud”. His Dams Sire is Ennobled “RRD Gauge” and her Grand Sire was Ennobled “RRD Remington M160”. Tonto also has Ennobled “EGGS Ray Man” in his bloodline.

Our Top Doe has the following bloodlines. Ennobled “Powell/Holman Casey”, Ennobled “Powell/Holman 300T”, Ennobled “RM Jigsaw”, Ennobled “RM 580”, Ennobled RM636”, and Ennobled “2SIS 180M”.

Recently two of my co-workers, Bryan Gordon at “Stony Point Farms”and Richard Acuff at “Crest Hill Farms”, decided they were also going to raise quality boer goats as well. We thought three heads would be better than one. Bryan has started his herd with a couple of "Pal" nannies and Richard purchased a “RRD Ruger T307” daughter and a nice buck, "Cloud Pal.” (a picture of him is located on the sire page). Richard also purchased a very nice paint doe with Lazy S-T and RRD bloodlines.

Through our research and attending shows, we have found that farms such as Powell/Holman, EGGS, RYALS, RM, and PAL are well respected and those are the bloodlines we have concentrated on developing our herd with.

We recently purchased a solid red buck from Texas to add a little color to our herd. His bloodlines included “Texas Tabasceaux” and “Texas Cayenne” on both his Sire and Dam side.
